Cook like Queens!

A special recipe book for our Class of 2020
3 Sep 2020
Alumnae

Every year when Queen’s pupils leave the College, we have a think about the mementos we would like to give them to mark this important milestone. This year, we had to think particularly hard about what to get the class of 2020. Their time at the college came to an abrupt end and it was difficult and challenging: they didn’t have the opportunity to say goodbye to their teachers in the normal way and they missed out on some of the usual leaving rites of passage. As a year group, the class of 2020 dealt with this so well and everyone at Queen’s was unfailingly impressed by their resilience throughout.

We not only wanted to give them something which they would use and help remember their time at the College, we also wanted to provide their teachers with the chance to tell them how much they were valued.

Finally, after a long think, we decided to create this special recipe book.  After all, one of most important ways that we get to know people is through sharing food. And so we hope that they will have fun cooking these recipes with friends (both new and old) in their next life adventure.

As a year group, the class of 2020 has given so much to the College and we want to thank them and wish them every success for the future.

The recipes in this book looked too delicious to keep to ourselves, which is why we wanted to share them with our Old Queens network. Happy cooking!
